03 / Why robots

Why UK businesses are adopting service robots

Robots work best on consistent, repetitive tasks, which frees people for the work that needs them. Results vary by operation, which is why we assess your site before recommending anything, but the main reasons businesses invest tend to be these.

01

Lower operating costs

Shifting repetitive hours from people to robots where the numbers make sense for your business.

02

Help with staff shortages

Keeping service levels steady when roles are hard to fill or shifts are short-staffed.

03

Consistency

The same route and the same standard on every run, with logged activity you can review.

04

Longer operating hours

Robots can work early, late and overnight, within battery and charging limits.

05

Safer workplaces

Fewer heavy trays and loads carried, and fewer long walks repeated through the day.

06

Better customer experience

Staff freed from fetching and carrying have more time for guests, patients and customers.

04 / Sectors

Built around your sector

Every industry has its own pressures, spaces and standards, so we match the robot to the environment rather than the other way round.

06 / Our partner

Authorised UK distributor for KEENON Robotics

Clockwork Robotics is the authorised UK distributor for KEENON Robotics, so the robots, parts and support you get from us come through KEENON's official UK channel. KEENON was founded in 2010 and launched its first DINERBOT in 2016, and has since built a range covering restaurant serving, hotel delivery, commercial cleaning and heavy-load logistics.

For UK customers, buying through the authorised distributor means a local point of contact for sales, installation, training and servicing, rather than relying on overseas support.

What could a robot save your business?

Use our calculator to compare the cost of a robot with the staff hours it could support. Choose a model, enter your team's hours and wages, and you'll get an indicative payback period in under a minute. We can then test it properly against your real operation.

Frequently asked questions

Can't see your question? Our team can talk it through, or arrange a demonstration on your site.

Speak to our team

A service robot is an autonomous robot designed to carry out practical tasks for people rather than on a production line, such as serving food, delivering items or cleaning floors. They use sensors and mapping to move safely around busy spaces.

Our serving robots start from £11,250 + VAT and our cleaning robots from £12,750 + VAT, with larger floor scrubbers and hotel delivery robots costing more. The right model depends on your site, so we'd suggest a demonstration before you decide.

We supply, install and service robots from KEENON Robotics, including the DINERBOT, KLEENBOT and BUTLERBOT ranges.

Yes. Our team maps your site, configures the robot, and trains your staff to run, charge and look after it.

Our robots are designed to take on repetitive tasks such as carrying, fetching and floor cleaning, so your team can focus on work that needs people. They are there to support your existing team rather than replace it.

Every robot we supply is backed by our UK service network, with repair centres in Manchester, Birmingham and London and engineers who can attend onsite.

Clockwork Robotics is the authorised UK distributor for KEENON Robotics, covering sales, installation, training and servicing.

Yes. We arrange demonstrations so you can see how a robot would work in your space before you commit.

It depends on the task, the floor space and how busy your site is. We usually start with a short site assessment, then recommend a model, or tell you if a robot isn't the right fit.
